Tragedy

After 3 days i was offline and far away from my lovely blog (*horeeee :P), and then i’m cominggggg!!! I really miss u guys..i’m so sorry for postphoning reply ur comments. *hehehe..ampyunn* Now, i’m gonna tell you what i experienced on last two days.

Regarding graduation of Indonesian students at UC and ANU on this semester (including me, off course!!), many of us sent some stuffs and goods to Indonesia (Jakarta, Jogja, and Malang: these three destinations actually consisted of many more destinitions such as Aceh, Sulawesi, Semarang, etc — just for making it easier to organize).

Well, it looked so good in preparing many things such as coding, packaging, labelling, etc. All participants in this process just followed what commitee wanted (the committe was also Indonesian student). Like last year, we used MTC to send those stuffs to our hometown. We believed them as well as last year. But…yesteday, the horrible things began…. Continue reading “Tragedy”

Jooog..jaaa..kar..ta..

Rabu, 9 Juli 2008

“Gudday mate, could u plizz help me how to claim my tax return?”

trus dia jawab, “sure…mmm what are you now?” Continue reading “Jooog..jaaa..kar..ta..”

Lost in Turner

Monday, July 7, 2008

Regarding my rent flat peiod will end this week, yesterday i asked Windu to help me transporting my stuff to Pak Amin’s Flat in Turner. However, before we drove our car toward Pak Amin’s Flat, we went to O’Malley first for taking some pictures of the Atase of Education’s house (cuz Windu was asked to take those pictures for Indonesian Embassy). Then we entered the big house like stealer…the house was really big and it scared us cuz nobody was there for long time.

Anyway, the house was like a ghost house. Every single room was empty and looked tidy..but still, it scared us Continue reading “Lost in Turner”

National Museum of Australia

Sabtu, 5 Juli 2008

Menyambung postingan kemarin, saya jadi ingat kalo Kamis lalu sebelum the last ceremony kemarin, kita mengadakan escursion ke National Museum of Australia.

Continue reading “National Museum of Australia”

Friday, July 4, 2008

Alhamdulillah. I just said that when i was receiving my certificate of my intensive english course at the University of Canberra. It was really funtastic that i could pass many things in the class with the good result. I graduated from that 20-week course!! *Thanx to Allah :)*

My name was mentioned by Alison Davies (the director of UCELI-UC) when She was standing on the stage and delivering a speech. Hohoho… As the Peace Scholar, i proudly represented Indonesian student in this program (The Peace Scholarship Program 2008). We could share many things such as cultures, languages, and values with 9 different countries.

When the program was taking place, suddenly, Roger came to us. Wow!! It was really nice, because we never saw him for more than three months (yeah, Roger used to be our first teacher before Megan, and he told me that he was going to Darwin and Perth for last holiday). In the last session, we, students of EAP Purple Class, performed a rock and roll dance (Dancing in the Street by Mc. Zagger and David Bowie). Uhmm..it was awesome!! Everybody waggled and shook themselves..gegegge 😛 🙂 :8

And now, i just wanna spend my last three weeks for working and enjoying Canberra (*oh GOsshhh Winter, mate!! what will i enjoy?? 😦 ). Hopefully, everything would run well.

Ritual Pecah Telok: Lulus!! :)

Jumat, 4 Juli 2008

Why? Cuz it’s long time i was like really far apart from Palembang and dunno much info bout it Hopefully it would be a bridge which links me to it.

Gabung aja deh..hahaha..

Mecahin Telok Wong Plembang

Rabu, 2 Juli 2007

Hu..cara menyapa (bekelakar men ji wong plembang :)), ngatain orang , dan fiuhhh..haha..seru aja kalo udah ngobrol, udah kayak mo berantem aja..huehuehehe..

Tapi justru disitulah values yg saya rasakan dari kecil hingga kini. Walopun dah lama di rantau, saya rasa desiminasi kultur Melayu yg begitu kental mengakar dari bapak dan ibu yg asli Palembang itu tak akan mudah luntur (ya iyalah…ngomong ‘R’ be masih bederot..wkwkwk :).

Salam,

Kgs. Muhammad Solihin Fikri
